our guide to running the relay

1. Register and start your adventure!

Begin your London Relay adventure by registering to run a stage of the relay.

Just click here to browse the stages and select the one you want to run. If a stage already has a runner’s name by it, click on the 'Join Stage' button or choose another.

Up to 20 runners can join a standard stage. Depending on location, group stages can accommodate between 100-1000 runners.

2. Create your profile

Every runner is given a London Relay account and profile page on the website. You will need to personalise your page with a banner image, a smaller profile picture and some information about yourself.

Your profile page also doubles as a fundraising platform. Go into your profile editor to choose a fundraising target - £100, £250, £500, £1000 etc. We hope that every runner will try to raise at least £100. Together we aim to raise at least £50,000 for The Running Charity. You will not be charged if you do not reach your target.

3. Get chatting people

Now that you’re all set up it’s time to meet the rest of the relay family.

Check out what’s happening on our Instagram, Facebook, Twitter pages and join our Private runners page to get to know your fellow runners and ask any last minute questions.

4. Share your epicness on social

Tag your running buddies and encourage them to sign-up and run a stage. Ask friends and family to check out your profile page and sponsor you.

Does your company have a few runners? join our corporate leaderboard by signing up your company here.

5. Kit yourself out in some threads

When you’re part of a tribe this awesome, it feels great to wear the uniform.

To get you off to a flying start, we're providing each of our runners with an official London Relay t-shirt! You’ll be sent your t-shirt in the post prior to your stage or be able to collect one from our Relay Hub at Potters Field Park.

We have a gear store coming soon, so if you want to get some more great kit, you’ll be able to soon!

Thank you for reading and enjoy your run!
