frequently asked questions

If you can't find an answer then please contact us at [email protected]
Can I bring friends and family to cheers me on?

Absolutely, the more the merrier! Let's make these baton handovers the best experiences ever!

How much does it cost?

Individual stages cost £20, whilst group stages are £15.

Do I have to fundraise as well?

There is no compulsory fundraising target but this is a fundraising event and we’d love for you to raise funds for our charity partner The Running Charity.

Does the £20 entry fee go to charity?

The entry fee goes towards paying for the cost of the event. 100% of the money you fundraise from your profile will go straight to The Running Charity.

Should I get the media involved?

Sure thing! Get in touch with your local paper, radio and TV stations and tell them what you’re doing and why. And, if you’ve got contacts who can help put the London Relay on the national news agenda too - terrific!

What if I find I am unable to run my stage?

You must notify the organisers immediately by emailing [email protected] with the subject line ‘URGENT: I CANNOT RUN MY STAGE’. If you are the lead runner on your stage and no other runners have signed up to join you, please do your best to help find a replacement runner. We regret that no refunds on registration fees can be given.

Where is the meeting point for my stage?

We're located at Potters Fields Park. You won't miss us!

Who can run?

Anyone can run, provided you are able to maintain an average pace of 11 minutes per mile for the duration of a stage. 5k group stages are open to everyone regardless of average pace! U18s must run with a responsible adult and have signed authorisation from their legal guardian.

Will the relay run on time?

It is the joint responsibility of all runners to keep the relay running to time. Please do everything in your power to prevent delays. We’re all relying on you!

What's the route?

Take a look at our 5K and 10K route maps to see where you'll be running.

How do I sign up?
